Habit tracker accessibility

Tracking a habit should feel easy to use.

Main Character should make habits easier to track, not make your phone harder to use.

Our approach to habit tracker accessibility starts with the common things you do every day: checking in, reviewing progress, changing a habit, and finding help. The features below are supported across those common tasks on iPhone.

Supported on iPhone

What you can expect.

  1. Larger Text

Text grows with your iPhone settings. Key screens and actions adapt at accessibility text sizes instead of simply shrinking to fit.

  2. Dark Interface

Choose Light, Dark, or System appearance. Text, controls, and habit cards remain clear when you use the app in dark mode.

  3. More than color

Selections, progress, and warnings use words, symbols, checkmarks, or shapes alongside color, so color is never the only cue.

  4. Sufficient Contrast

Core text, controls, and status information are designed to remain readable across the app's light and dark appearances.

  5. Reduced Motion

When Reduce Motion is on, decorative movement is reduced or removed while important changes still appear clearly.

Still improving

Honest about what comes next.

Main Character includes accessibility labels and actions, but we are not yet listing VoiceOver or Voice Control as fully supported. We want to complete hands-on, assistive-technology-only testing across every common task before making that promise.

Captions and audio descriptions are not currently relevant because the app does not use narrated audio or video to complete habit tracking tasks. We will revisit that if the product changes.
