Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Why did my commit not count yet?
GitHub counts a commit after it reaches the repository's default or gh-pages branch and uses an email connected to your GitHub account. Local, unpushed, and unmerged feature-branch commits do not count yet, and GitHub may take up to 24 hours to refresh qualifying contributions.
Can Main Character read my repositories or code?
No. The integration requests aggregate contribution counts. It does not request repository names, commit messages, code, diffs, issues, or organization membership.
Who can connect GitHub right now?
GitHub automatic check-ins are in private preview. The integration appears in the app for accounts included in the current rollout.
