Check-in examples

What can count as a check-in.

  • Complete a habit after a Peloton workout.
  • Require a matching workout type and minimum duration.
  • Use a distance target for walking, running, cycling, or swimming.

How it works

From source signal to habit check-in.

  1. 01

In Apple Health, open Sharing, Apps, then Peloton. Allow Peloton to write Workouts so completed workouts can appear in Apple Health.

  2. 02

Allow Main Character to read Workouts from Apple Health.

  3. 03

Choose a workout type and optional time or distance target for a habit.

  4. 04

Main Character checks the habit in after a matching workout appears in Apple Health.

Privacy boundaries

Your data stays scoped.

  • Main Character does not sign in to Peloton or access your Peloton account directly.
  • Workout access is read-only through Apple Health.
  • Workout routes, descriptions, calories, and device details are not used for automatic check-ins.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Is this a direct Peloton integration?

No. Peloton sends the workout to Apple Health. Main Character reads the workout from Apple Health with your permission.

What can make the habit check in?

You can use any workout, a workout category, a minimum duration, or a distance target for supported activities.

Can I still check in manually?

Yes. Manual check-ins remain available if a workout is delayed or does not appear in Apple Health.
